For yet another year, we are joining in the celebration of Euskaraldia 2025 as part of our commitment to the Basque language. Under the slogan ‘Elkar mugituz egingo dugu!’, which will be held from 15 to 25 May, this social initiative aims to promote the use of the Basque language in all areas of daily life and to boost its presence both among us and in our environment.

On 7 April, Berkoa was present at the public event organised by the Elgoibarko Euskaraldia group, together with other organisations from the municipality. In total, some 84 entities from different fields – sport, culture, health, education, leisure, administration, politics, among others – have already joined the initiative, and 60 of them took part in the event.

The aim of the meeting was to give visibility to Euskaraldia and to underline the shared responsibility of the entities of Elgoibar in the construction of a more Basque-speaking town. In this context, Euskaraldia Taldea of Elgoibar has made public the manifesto Gure ardura ere bada! and a video summary of the event was published.
