Rotary friction welding is a process for joining materials in which the heat required to weld the parts is generated by applying pressure and rotating one part against another. This technology can be used to join both identical and dissimilar materials.

Among the most important features of our machines is the patented ©BLSC 4.0 controller, co-designed with our technology partner Lortek. The controller enables real-time data capture, with a margin of error of just one millisecond. Traceability control and the storage of parameters and their graphs are notable features of this controller.

Standard tests to be carried out to assess the quality of friction-welded joints:

‣ Geometric and dimensional checks.
‣ Metallographic examination (macro-micro).
‣ Microhardness analysis.
‣ Mechanical tests: tensile, bending (depending on the type of part: diameter,
solid or tube, etc.).
