Thanks to its collaboration with the Lortek technology centre and the help of the BDIH Konexio programme, the Gipuzkoan company Berkoa has managed to successfully develop several controllers for rotary friction welding machines and improve production traceability to adapt it to the needs of each customer. Now, Berkoa can carry out parameterisation work that benefits both the sale of new machines and subcontracting. Thanks to this optimisation, Berkoa intends to expand into new sectors where the parameterisation and customisation of production are fundamental requirements for customers. The controls in the interface-human relationship allow easy execution of the reference changes from the screen and provide the machine with a degree of flexibility that increases Berkoa’s competitiveness in the market. In this video we explain how its collaboration with Lortek has helped Berkoa to optimise its rotary friction welding machines, the company’s main asset.
