In Berkoa we celebrate the success of the TD2-1000 Vertical Lathe, now at full capacity, this latest milestone marks the delivery of the fourth vertical lathe for a multinational company that is a world reference in the manufacture of agricultural machinery on all continents.

The continuous choice of this multinational reflects the confidence in the quality of our machines. At Berkoa, our aim is to improve productivity and quality in production processes without neglecting our constant commitment to provide solutions that adapt to the specific needs of each customer.

The TD2-1000 is distinguished from its predecessors by its power and turning capacity, now reaching Ø1000 compared to the Ø800 of previous models. Although the differences may not be significant at first glance, our team focuses on always customising their machines to meet the particular demands of all our customers: “You name it, we make it”.

In addition to the delivery of this vertical lathe in 2023, 13 multi-process machines have been manufactured and commissioned for Vocational Training schools in the Basque Country, and the Rotary Friction Welding Machine for the important tool manufacturer Izar Cutting Tools in Amorebieta. Also noteworthy are the contracts with Pfisterer Upresa and GKN in the subcontracting of SoldAvanza for the rotary friction welding of parts for overhead power lines and for the automotive industry. In addition to this, contracts have been won for the retrofitting of different types of machines, such as grinding machines, sharpening machines, drilling lines or bar cutters for various sectors: automotive, petrochemical, capital goods, etc.

In this first quarter of 2024, Berkoa Machine Tools continues to secure several orders from important multinationals and companies. Among the most important customers are names such as GKN, DANA, ULMA and IZAR. These contracts reinforce the good results obtained by the cooperative at the end of 2023.
